SOLD: Silver Grey Z4MR 2006 (catd) 61k

I'm selling my 2006 (06) BMW Z4M Roadster in Grey. The car has covered just over 61k and has MOT until March 2018. The car has recently had a Service inspection II and will not require another service for 13k or until August 2019.

Please note, the car is a recorded Category D, which required a new passenger wishbone, wing and door to make be put back on the road again. The damage was very very light and restored using BMW sourced parts, by the previous owner.

The car has the following Spec...

- Xenons with Auto light function
- Electric Memory Heated Seats
- Carver DSP Premium Sound System
- Electric Heated mirrors
- Sat-Nav
- Aero Rear Spoiler
- Electric folding roof, with ability to put roof and windows down from the key.
- Electric Heated Mirrors
- Steering wheel controls
- Climate control with working A/C
- Carbon leather trim finish
- Trip computer
- Auto wipers
- headlamp washer jets
- Remote central locking
- Traction control
- ABS
- Reverse parking sensors
- Rear LED lights
- Hard top prep
- Rear heated screen
- Cup holders

The car is in excellent condition, both mechanically and cosmetically. Everything works as it should, and is ready to drive away.

The original Service History Book was not with the car, however the car has a complete set of replacement books, including a new service history book. Most of the services have been traced and stamped back to BMW dealerships, however whilst BMW Cooper acknowledged visits, they were unable to confirm if any of these visits were services due their systems not going far enough back.

The below is break down of that service history.

09/06/06 - Pre delivery Check - Vines BMW
03/08/06 - 1584 - Running in Check 1584 - Vines BMW
14/09/07 - 10778 - Oil Service - VINES BMW
***Gap in service historybut has visited main dealer. Potentially, the car may have been serviced on these visits, however BMW were unable to confirm this***
03/10/12 - 41553 - Inspection II Stratstone BMW
18/09/14 - 56302 - Oil Service JCT 600 BMW

My Ownership

Due to the long interval on the cars last service I had a Service Inspection II and brake service carried out by my local BMW/MINI independent garage on 03/08/17, at 56650. This consisted of...

- Oil Service
- Plugs and filters
- Diff and Gearbox oil
- Valve Clearance Check

The service went fine, and other than a set of rear pads, the car needed nothing. The next service is due 03/08/19 or 13k, which will only require an Oil Service.

I recently experienced an issue with a lazy throttle, which at the time brought up no fault codes. After a loan of some parts from forum member TomK; whilst trouble shooting, a coil pack failed and on further investigation found a cocktail of old and different branded coil packs. I replaced them all with Bosch coil packs and all has been well since.

Please see below for pictures and link to more pictures, including two showing the light damage I will try add more pics.

As it stands, the car is good to go, however I estimate a set of rear tyres will be required within 2k miles.

Thanks for looking.

Lovely looking car.. I for one wouldn't be put off by the Cat D status, especially as there are pics of the damage it sustained, and it's reflected in the ask.. Just a shame that BMW haven't been more forthcoming with the SH.

Have you owned it long?

No, i haven't it long. It will be 4 months next Thursday to be exact. Its a 2nd car and I had a go of my friends M235i.

I must have one.

Hmm.. M235i or a "proper" M roady, I know which I'd prefer....

Mike

Make no mistake, the 235i is no M car, but out the box its a pretty good package.

That's a bargain really at £9k...

I knew we would agree at some point :D
Remove the Catd part & right now that should be a £13500/£14k car as a private sale , allow a 20% - 25% reduction for its status & £9k does look tremendous value if it checks out on close scrutiny & drives as it should

:D the wheels alone are worth over £1k...differences on opinion make for good debate!

They aren't worth as much as you think, I got a set of 224s with 6-7mm conti sport 5s on them for £600 and had a set in need of a refurb for £400, the high value items on that car are the bonnet, the interior trim, the seats and bumpers :)

You’re not lifting anyone’s leg with your asking price OP, if all stacks up as I suspect it does then that’s a great value super looking car 8) it’s even got stripy carpets :)
