OK, after the sale of my Z4 I've got a genuine BMW outdooor car cover - it's for the roadster and just covers the top half of the car - so ends just beneath the window line. It's a great accessory, really good in the winter when cars get frosty / iced up or when it snows.
It is also very secure - stays on in all winds.
It fits very well and is secured by clips that go under the door handles (with protection flaps to keep the paintwork safe), magnets for the rear attaching it to the boot and then the front fits under the wipers. Very quick to put on and take off and comes with a bag so that you can just fold it up and keep it in the boot.
I've looked after it very well - whenever it has got wet I have hung it up to dry, so it's never been stored wet. Basically its as good as new.
I think I paid about £80 for it and would take £50 ono including postage / packaging.
