Hi People,

I have been repairing this front bumper and due to having a new job I won't have the time to finish it hence the sale. It will fit all BMW Z4's (E85 & E86) from all years. It is the front bumper off an M-Sport model Z4.

It will need re-spraying and continuation with the minor repairs. New from BMW these bumpers retail at around £700 so grab yourself a bargain. Some parts will be needed from BMW to complete the bumper (ie. air ducts, brackets, front grill, number plate grill etc.). I am looking for near offers of £250 for collection and slightly more if people want it delivered (please email me for an estimate on delivery costs). I am based in Richmond, Surrey.

Thanks for Looking

Not a bad deal and I am tempted but unless prices have changed in the last month M bumpers are £450 brand new from BMW

Yeh they are £450 excluding having it sprayed which is another £250 if not more. I would prefer collection if possible as this is a large item and I wouldnt want to be damaged in transit.

M style charge £663 sprayed fitted including and ducts etc... yours will be £250 plus £200-£250 spray repair plus ducts £112ish, so between £562 and £612

I am interested in this but the price is way too much, if you can lower the price to something near another member who sold his //M bumper with all the neccessary ducts then concider this sold.....

Congrats on the sale and hope you are both happy with your deal.
Though I have to agree with some of the other posters that at the posted price of over £200 IMO it was way overpriced especially when you factor in the other parts needed and the respray, comparted to the cost of getting a brand new one from M Style.
FYI I bought one from a fellow forum member at the start of the year for £50 and recently paid £180 for the respray including all the remedial work and getting the washer jet holes filled in as I wanted to avoid the further cost of the overpriced washer jet covers, I was also hoping to get the cross member finished with a carbon wrap but the guy doing the work was unable to get it lay to his satisfaction despite trying three different wraps, he's prepared to give it another go or paint it in satin black at no further cost, he is a top bloke but being in Dumfries it might be a bit to far from Berkshire.
Anyway if you don't know what else you need here is a list of the parts I got to fit with mine.
51118044701 Front Left Air Duct
51118044702 Front Right Air Duct
51717837531 Left Bracket
51717837532 Right Bracket
51117895842 Grid Centre
There is also another part 51113442832 Front Spoiler, which I have bought but have not fitted as I can't quite figure out where out where it goes and doesn't seem to be needed.
It will look great on Sterling Grey Zed, but then I am biased.

Hi richardG

I see where you are coming from  but basically iam going to do the repair work and prime it ready for painting(half done already) the grills, ducts ,brackets etc price i understand will probably be a fixed price give or take 10% (awaiting a price from joe at sopers)Wet and Dry, sanding block, filler, sundries .

And the painting is being done by one of my mates who owes me a favor .Fitting done by my self .

So i recon about £350 all in

And plus its always nice doing some things you self and not just chucking the credit card over. :) and i love doing some things myself betting than watching Britain got no talent

Like you iam going for the satin black centre piece its going to look awesome i to have the sterlin grey .

How much did you pay for the grills etc?

sorry about the poor grammar , i think the paint fumes have got to me.

cheers

mate, I sold the complete kit (bumper, ducts, brackets and lower grille) to chris for £150! :o
Sorry, but you got ripped off IMHO.

If i recall your's was hanging around for weeks, if not months too peddy... as at the time i was tempted for a very long time

Commenting on the sale price when someone has bought it is extremely bad form. Why don't people just keep their opinions to themselves?

aquazi, Yes, it was, suprisingly. I should have just stuck it on ebay and would have probably made a decent profit going by this thread.

p4cks, because forums are here to share info with one another... good or bad, so if i think the guy's getting ripped off I'll let him know. just the same if he got a great deal.
If i thought he got and good deal and posted about it you wouldn't have made your comment, so why not the other way round?

Because people don't like being told they have been ripped off, especially as it is only of someone's opinion and thus can not be classed as fact???

Have a think if you were selling something and someone told the buyer that they thought they were being ripped off. How would you feel?
or
If you were to buy something from someone, only for someone to voice their opinion that you have been ripped off. How would you feel?

It's just not cricket. Keep your defamatory opinions to yourself, people will think better of you. Your post just sounded like you were gloating like a child with a bigger lollypop.

Time out guys.... :)

I was happy what i paid for it and which i will not disclose and its not as much as people are thinking to.....and acording to the guy when i picked it up there was three of us in for the running but i was the one who responded thirst so there obvious was a market for it .
I must admit £150 with grills sounded like a great bargain but i wasnt looking for one then and i think there got robbed. iam sure if you held out you would of got more.

My reasoning was i couldnt aford a new one and these dont come up that often any way may be one every 3-4 months so yes maybe if i held out a cheaper one may come along but thats a big maybe, so strike while the irons hot.

Plus i got the rest of the bits at cost which came to £94 brand new.

As the bumper is going to look as new when finnished it would of been a shame to put tatty old grills and brake ducts on.

I dont mind being told i got ripped off i paid what i believe to be a fare price and iam happy :D

Anyway once its on my slamed sterlin grey with black bayern wheels its going to make you all say its was worth it.... so watch this space.

Newbie at this thread and forum... I was looking for bumper covers to replace mine. Kept searching and I was wondering if I could get any info from you guys while I'm spending hours looking for a store... Thanks!

No worries, if I find anything, I will share them to you as well. You might also make use of my help. Will be back in a bit.
