I'm being forced to sell my much loved JAMO D 365 loudspeakers.

These things cost £400 brand new and, although hardly used, are truly amazing! If I didn't HAVE to sell them - trust me I wouldn't!
The "D" series (or dynamic series) was the professional range of speakers offered by JAMO, and the 365's were the top floor standing speakers within the range.

They are as a pair, and each unit is equipped with three speakers; a horn (not paper!) tweeter, a 15" bass driver and a mid range driver - all of which is fully functional in both units!

Their stats are:

Max Power (Watts): 365
Impedance (ohms): 4-8
Frequency Range (Hz): 35 to 20,000

I'm looking for offers around £80 for them as a pair, as they go on eBay for around £50-60 each. (will consider a straight swap for a window regulator tho ;))
If you need them shipping, it'll be around £15 for anywhere UK mainland, or we could arrange a pickup location etc.

oooo.... i may now someone who's interested... my dad. can speak to him tonight about it, so will get back to you by tomorrow morning.

Oh, my, god 8) i had a pair of these when i was 17. Thought they were the best thing in the world at the time! Still hold a very special place for me just for nostalgic reasons. My bedroom at my parents house was only about 10 foot square, you can imagine how big they looked in there! :D

My son would love them, but I don't think I want to hear those all the time :D

How are these powered? do they have their own supply? Could you hook them up to a DVD player for a home cinema system? 8)

They're not self-powered, and would require an amplifier.
If you're home cinema system has two-core speaker wire running to satellite speakers, that connect to the cinema system, like these:

then you can connect these up instead of those!

Can you stop posting on this thread in case my son sees it :headbang:

Sorry pvr, but you just bumped it to the top with that comment

I need to know what kind of amp it needs. In case you haven't guessed I'm a complete noob when it comes to sound. These would be great for Guitar Hero  8)

Edit: My DVD player does have satellite speakers, so would they draw power through these or would I need to go through the amp?

These are PERFECT for Guitar Hero / Rockband!

It may, or may not, be exactly what I've been using them for recently :P

If you have satelite speakers, then you've got an amplifier built into the dvd player.
Without a doubt, you'll hear sound through these speakers on that dvd player.
However, whether it's powerful enough to get some serious sound out of these needs to be figured out :P
What dvd player is it and I'll look up the spec?

I have one of these: http://www.quantumelectronics.co.uk/acatalog/Yamaha_RXV365.html
which cost me about double that price two years ago, and it's fantastic - powers these speakers perfectly :D

It's quite an old sony DVD player, came as a package with a top of the line Cathode Ray Tube TV about 8 years ago

It has surround sound satellites as well as a sub, will look up the model as soon as I get home

have a look on the back of the unit and see if you can find any relation to power in watts... might be written on the back of the speakers also.
Chances are, it'll probably be around 1000w, as I had an old sony 5.1 surround system about 10 years ago that was 1000w total :)
Either that, or get the model number and we can look it up ;)

As for how high - I'm not 100% sure, but i'd say around 3ft high and 1ft wide/deep

no stickers on the back, it model number is COMPACT AV SYSTEM DAV-S400

not sure where to look it up or what I'm looking at

Looking at the stats, it's 40w rms for the satelites, and 100w for the sub.
Whilst these will work with that, you're not going to get the massive performance from them.

You could always get a cheep home amp:
