The S54 engine fitted to the Z4M is highly tuned and therefore should be well looked after. This particular engine had a minor rebuild at 80,583 miles (June 15) which included new cams, cam followers, big end bearings, all new gaskets including head gasket, head ultrasonically cleaned, Vanos overhaul and a new oil pump. The cams were the only thing that were worn (a common issue with this engine), the rest was replaced as a preventative measure to ensure the car would run perfectly for many more miles. The cost was over £6000 and performed by a BMW M car specialist. The engine is as good as new, uses no oil and sounds amazing.

It is a wonderful car, however I've been missing my VX220 and want to get back in one. I'm aware that selling a car quickly can look strange so anyone is welcome to a very thorough inspection as everything works exactly how it should. Passed it's MOT yesterday with no advisories.

I'm still enjoying it though so mileage will increase, I've decided I'm more of an Elise/VX220 man, you don't know these things until you try them, but I really regret selling the VX220 and miss the rawness of it even though the Z4M is a far more superior car with the best sounding engine I've ever owned.

The Z4M stops better, accelerates better and corners comparably to the VX220 but for some reason the VX220 just makes me smile that bit more.

Thank you :)

Seems like a very good value car to my eye! Lovely looking and 92k miles is nothing really for a well maintained engine, surprised it isn't gone already.

Thank you, I've had one person view it so far, he is very interested in buying it, he just needs to make sure that insuring it is affordable first. I will keep this updated.
