SOLD GIVEAWAY PRICE £6000+😢 E89 S Drive 23i 2009 FOR SALE

Going as a trade sale probably not, but is it worth more, definitely yes.

Have you got a trade in price against a 4 seater you fancy as a gauge?

It’s a nice looking car, I’m surprised you haven’t sold at £6995, or close too that.

I’m totally shocked it didn’t sell at £7k as it is in beautiful condition and drives faultlessly but I’m loathed to sell it to a dealer for £6k.
I’m looking for a 4 series 3.0 M about 1-2 year old and yes I can get more as a part exchange but also get a good discount without so really would rather sell to an enthusiast.

I can understand why you’re loathe to sell to a dealer at that and as I’ve said surprised the £6995 didn’t tempt anyone on here as that’s well into E85 money but I suppose it depends what car you’re looking for.

The reason I asked about the p/ex was that I wasn’t getting any discount for no trade in and got roughly what I’d have been looking for privately from the dealer. At the time it also took away any hassle about how I got there to pick up the new car and by the time I took all of that into consideration I reckoned I was £300+ up trading than selling privately.

GLWTS

surely this would sell very quickly on ebay at that price.. plenty go for more.. have you listed there OP? or on gumtree, pretty limited market on here

I assume you have it advertised elsewhere and not just here?
Although it is a nice car other than heated seats its a very basic car with fairly high miles and one that could be difficult to sell on here to an audience that looks for everything from idrive, PDC, Msport seats, steering wheel etc.
Autotrader, ebay , pistonheads and gumtree may be better places to sell it than here.
The cheapest manual 23i on Autotrader right now is £6499 but it has over 130,000 miles
The next one is £7995 with 68,000 miles
You havnt had it for sale long, you may just have to give it time.

Been offered £6000 to straight buy off a dealer surely it’s worth more 😢😢
You can guarantee he won't be selling it for 6K... depends how desperate you are to move it on, stick in on Autotrader or Ebay and pray for some hot sunny weather. Cars similar spec on Autotrader are minimum £7k

Yes I have it on other sites and the miles for a 12 year old car is good.
When I bought it I was more concerned with the condition and history of the car than the extras of seats etc.
I love it and it drives perfect but quickly realised I need a four seater so just priced it now to sell so I have the funds for an 4 series 3.0 cabriolet with family friendly seats 🤣🤣🤣

You are right that the mileage for a 12 year old car is good........ if it was a mondeo.
The problem is that there are lots of these around with way lower than average miles.
Personally I think £6000 is too low but if you need it gone quick then you have to go at a price that will sell.

£6k is not a lot but what are WBAC offering, if its the same then it reasonable as the dealer needs to make a profit on the deal s do WBAC.

Why not try it at £6995 on eBay with best offer over £6.5 accepted.

If this sold for circa £6K, - was the buyers name 'Dick Turpin' or something similar :o

Strewth, that's a bit of a sad situation & no offence to the OP, butttttttt...... :headbang: :?
