104's are 16 x 7.0", ET47 and the correct fitment is 225/50/16. They fit pre-facelift 3.0i's - only just clear the caliper - but not facelift 3.0Si's due to bigger brakes. Info from here: http://felgenkatalog.auto-treff.com/

I just remember 14" and 15" wheels on previous cars, thinking they look ok... now anything less than 17" is considered tiny...

Correct

They're a close fit with the calipers hence you need to be careful/lucky with placement of the wheel weights, but they fit no probs. I'm on my second winter running 16" with winter tyres on my 3.0i SE.

Thank you very much, a11y and imp75! I had an idea but the 16 inch tyres aren't as cheap as I'd hoped. It looks like I will be going another direction.. Thanks and good luck with the sale!

possibly the biggest gap between posting and bumping........decided to sell these again after having them in the garage forever! Again worth it if you want to put winter tyres on them.
