have you any pics of the new toy?

As luck would have it, I've been out tonight to take some photos of it.

Got to say, I absolutely love it.From a driving point of view it really does feel like an upgrade. While I loved the z4 I much prefer driving this coupe. it doesn't feel as quick as the Z and there doesn't feel as though there is asmuch pull under 3k rpm (weight?), but i have a lot more confidence in the corners and on rough roads as it really does feel planted. I'll not be enjoying roof down motoring this summer, but I'm seriously happy having this car and an extra £3200 in the bank for when i need it! Im still glad I had the z4 though as it was a bit of a dream car for me, but if I'd have driven this coupe before I bought my Z I'm not convinced id have still ended up in one.

here's a few I took of it....

Congrats on the sale dude!..

So your 330ci drive's better than your Z4.? I've driven a fair few E46's few m3's 2 x 330ci sport,1 x 318ci,

Don't think they handled better than the Z4 I own now? (m3 did) Although i must admit for somthing that's supposed be a handler mines incredibly tail happy in damp..even moist condtions but i mean feathering throttle and not even carrying alot of speed?..In the dry it's impessive.Did you find this dude?

Don't get me wrong Im sure the Z4 handled brilliantly in the hands of a decent driver. Its just I found the ride to be so hard, bouncy and unpredictable. Along uneven country lanes I found myself being thrown around the road and I never felt totally in control. Thats the point Im trying to make... Around a track with 2 very able drivers Im sure the Z4 will handle better thana 330ci sport and be quicker around a track, however I have alot more confidence in the way the 330ci rides. Its precitable, feels planted even on uneven surfaces. I went on my favourite route back from football yesterday, Eccleshall to stoke (If anyone knows it) and I couldnt stop smiling all the way back. I felt in total control and the car gave me the confidence to push on much more without worrying about being thrown into the hedges because of the uneven surface.

I must say i completly agree...Bumps and any sign of moisture it's no good... I mean it can't even any g-force in bends when it's wet.. feels like my rear tyre is has some extreme camber setting using like 2 inchs of tyre or somthing..lol

Have to agree, my E46 coupe felt much safe to drive at speed round the lanes I use, the shorter wheelbase of the Z4 seems to make it much more twitchy.

Might be moving on to a E46 M3 myself, only have 2 seats is becoming more of an issue now :(
