Well, I bought this a few months ago for #69, then found out that my Insurance won't cover the car with it fitted. I've decided not to go through the pain and suffering of changing insurance companies so early into my policy so it's up for sale to the forum first.

It cost me £125 with no nuts or caps, and I bought these new at a cost of £53 from Dick Lovett. As it's been fitted and removed I'd strongly suggest using a little loctite to secure them. I'll take a small hit on this if I include postage so looking for £180 shipped recorded delivery.

Sorry but I'm not open to offers on this, it was a good price to me and I'm passing it on at my cost. If it doesn't sell I'll change insurers at renewal time to a company that will accept it and fit it to the new car.

Out of curiosity - does it fit on an M as I thought the braces for those were different?

Wouldn't the new buyer be best to get new nuts again?
I'd offer £150 posted with the caps, I'll spend the extra £30 getting the nuts from a dealership.

I believe it fits an M, Ruby has one on her MC that looked identical. I suppose I could offer it up to the strut on the M next week and check...

Herminator, thanks but as I said I'm not open to offers. It sat in the house for a few months before I got around to fitting it, worst case it sits around the house a few months more. At £180 it's still a good deal. There's a brand new one on BMW's eBay shop for over £300

It will fit the ///M.

Stuart if I were you I would keep as you said until renewal time. You wont be able to replace it again so cheaply.

I think it's a fair price tbh. as long as the new buyer doesn't need to go buy new nuts.

I'm trying to stop myself saying I'll pay you're asking price tbh. :| must save, must save, must save...

I have the BMW strut brace mounting procedure and yes, those nuts are mentioned as one-time use only. I guess one could check the torque once in a while if using the same ones again, but that would not be my personnal option.

We had a big debate on the nuts for these on a thread a while back. They aren't nyloc from what I can see, they appear to have a band of loctite or similar gunk halfway down.

It made the car feel more "solid". Less scuttle shake on the bumpy roads where I live etc. I doubt the effect would be as pronounced on a coupe as they're inherently more rigid. After trying it I think the roadsters should have come with them as standard...
