CAR HAS NOW BEEN SOLD.
After 10 years of ownership, sadly it is time to part with my lovely M5.

It has only covered 47,373 miles and is covered under BMW's own extended comprehensive warranty until November. I am the second owner. The car is in excellent condition, having been maintained by BMW regardless of cost, and everything works as it should. The car has always been garaged, and has never been tracked or crashed.

Benefiting from a very recent main dealer service, coolant and brake fluid change as well as newly refurbished wheels and new tyres, there are no bills due for a long time.

£19,995.

Beauty indeed

Could I suggest that you remove the "regardless of cost" bit - I always read that as having had many problems and large bills.

Thanks for the suggestion.

When I read a for sale ad, I tend to just look for facts, and discount comments like "first to see will buy", "one careful lady owner", "stunning", "real head turner" (and, yes "maintained regardless of cost").

However, a friend looked at my original wording (which was just factual) and suggested that I soften it a bit.

Damned if you do, and damned if you don't, I guess :-)

Jesus is that the going rate for them? Looks a lovely car OP, a friend had a ?silverstone? blue one which was such a great all round drive!

I too was a little taken back by the price. £20K is IMO strong money for an E39 M5. I know of an E36 M3 GT which has a ground up nut and bolt resto which couldn't be sold for that money, which i would consider more desirable.

Still OP i hope you get what you are after, it certainly does look like a mint car and is a credit regardless. 8)

Yes, there are cheaper cars around, but most will have done well over 100k miles, will have been serviced outside the dealer network, and certainly won't still be covered under BMW warranty.

There are a few around at a higher asking price than mine - at least 3 on PistonHeads at present.

Same here to be fair in regards to knocking the price. I hope it sells and these higher prices are good for me too since my M3 Evo should be an appreciating classic.
