Due to my impatience, I broke my climate control unit while upgrading mine, so had to source another one. I have the casing off the facelift model which you can upgrade yours to (for pre-facelift models) but please be careful and don't make the same mistake I did and brake yours as well.

will post photos in the morning, as it is the casing on it's own, £20 (ONO) posted (payment via paypal gift or bank transfer only).

the item looks like this and works the same as the old black style unit

I have done a how-to if you want open yours up and use this instead.

Will this fit a pre-facelift Z4? Easy to install? I' ll take.

easy to fit and they are the same in pre and post facelift just cosmetic difference, but be very careful :o

you need to remove the centre vent, take the radio out, take the cover under the climate control out, remove the 2 screws holding the climate control unit in place, unplug the 2 cables in the back of the unit and push it gently out. Then open the old unit up, open the new unit up, remove the board from the old one and place in the new one. be sure that pins are in the same position in old and new unit as that's how I broke mine, pins didn't sit properly and broke the resistors.

I'll pm you now.

Not the dreaded centre vent! Had a lot of "fun" removing that when fitting my aftermarket Din Radio.

Does the unit have any marks/scratches on? Particularly around the grey buttons?

Look forward to the pm :D
