***NOW £5000***

Hi everyone,

I've decided to put my Z4 up for sale. I know I've only had it a few months, but I'm supposed to be saving for a house and in hindsight buying a 3 litre sports car wasn't my best move. The other half's got her way and it unfortunately has to make way for something more sensible (read boring :( ).

You may know I spent months waiting to find a good example and I ended up traveling about 3 hours to go pick it up. Here are the specs:

Based in Lincoln
03 Reg
3.0 Engine
71,778 miles (will go up slightly as I'll be using it for work until sold)
Black with red leather - the leather is in good condition. One of the first things I did when I bought it was give the interior and seats a proper treatment
Brand new MOT today, expires 28/09/2015
6 months Tax has just been done today but I believe the new tax laws make this irrelevant to the new owner, I may be wrong though as it's just been done before the 1st October?
18" Wheels - 3 are in good condition, the front near side does have a bit of minor curbing
Stubby Aerial
I've refitted the standard BMW stereo but I'll chuck in an almost brand new Pioneer stereo (with iPhone connectivity) and fascia if I'm feeling generous :P
Also comes with a BMW 6 CD changer that I never bothered to fit.
2x Keys

The body work is in fantastic condition. The interior is in fair condition, it does have a few minor scratches here and there, mainly on the plastic near the handbrake but it's not as bad as it may sound.

I've had a bit of work done to it in the last couple of weeks, including:

Oil service - 17/09/14
Front wipers replaced - 20/09/14
2x Kumho KU39 rear tyres (non run flats) - 20/09/14

29/09/14:
N/S Front suspension arm replaced and arm bush replaced
4 Wheel tracking, checked and adjusted
Brake pipes replaced and brake fluid replaced/re bled
Clutch Fluid replaced
Brake pressure sensor replaced

All of that together came in at just under £1000.

I've also got a big folder of fairly recent receipts and old MOTs, receipts include:

2x Hankook front tyres (probably about 50-60% life left)
2x Rear springs
2x Rear pads, discs and sensor
Tilt siren
Bonnet Switch
Headlight bulb
Rear view mirror/alarm
ABS Sensor
Replacement Key

Here's the service history for it:

Pre Delivery check - 17/07/03
Oil Service @ 14,709 - 09/11/04
Inspection 1 @ 30,956 - 20/06/06
Oil Service & Inspection 2 @ 42,582 - 24/07/08
Oil Service & Inspection 1 @ 47,577 - 08/09/09
Oil Service & Inspection 1 @ 52,351 - 14/01/10
Oil Service @ 56,811 - 20/09/10
Oil Service @ 71,590 - 17/09/14

I realise there's a gap in the book between 10-14 but I have a receipt for engine oil and an ABS pressure sensor, with labour to bleed the brake system, purchased 26/07/12

It's been very well looked after in its life and I certainly haven't scrimped on anything during my (admittedly) short ownership.

One minor bad point is the 3rd brake light, it has chipped a bit on one of the corners - see the picture. I believe this to be a common issue but in all honesty it didn't bother me that much to get sorted and it certainly isn't an MOT failure or anything like that.

Please excuse the pictures, if it helps I'll get some decent snaps when the weather brightens up a bit, but they give you a fair idea for now.

I've probably missed something so let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks

Luke

It's probably unlikely, but if it's still up for sale in January time, do send me a message! I won't be buying until then, and this thing looks like exactly what I'm looking for :) Otherwise, best of luck with the sale!

Looks like a good, honest car priced very fairly indeed. Am sure it wont hang about long. GLWTS and hope the replacement isn't too beige

Thanks inkey, I'm probably going to get a 1.8 Civic (hopefully Type S) but it'll almost certainly be more beige compared to the Z4 :(

Thanks Chrissy, I'll definitely keep you in mind if it doesn't sell before then.

I'll get some decent pics up of the interior this weekend if I can.

NOW £5200

I've been looking around at prices for Z4s and I'm going to adjust the price slightly. I still think it's very sensibly priced and the work I've had done to it should now mean you'll have many miles of worry free motoring!

I was also hoping to get some decent pictures this weekend but it's looking like non stop rain for most of the weekend so I doubt i'll have a chance.

Thanks

Luke

Owhhh, if only it was January! I'm really keen for this, looks exactly what I'm after. Main reason I'm waiting until then is that I'll be 25 by then and thus insurance will be quite a bit cheaper! Let me have a bit of a think over the weekend and I'll see if there's any way I can take this off your hands.

Haha I know the feeling, insurance is frustrating isn't it. As a matter of fact I was insured on this at 24 and it didn't really change much when I turned 25 to be honest. Axa were cheapest for me, might be worth trying them.

I've actually got someone coming to look at it on (hopefully) Saturday but i'll keep you posted with what's going on with it. Cheers

Hi there,

Specs:

- Red leather memory seats - not heated unfortunately
- Auto sensing rain wipers
- Sport button
- 18" wheels
- Stubby aerial

That's about all I can think of to be honest but let me know if there's anything I've missed :D

Luke

It's just the standard BMW business stereo but i've got a Pioneer stereo (with iPod connection) & fascia I'll chuck in with it if that helps.

cheers
