This is provisionally sold now :)

That's great Neil :) forget the brakes , for most looking to own a ZM they are just eye candy  the real treat here for the buyer is that engine rebuild done at Redish + the zero spend required anytime soon
Hope the buyer is a forum member & enjoys the car :driving: looking back in a few years i think this will prove a great buy

Do you think the brakes are just eye candy? Surely they have got to be better than single pot CSL brakes? I will probably being tracking it once a month or so.

There's a broad section of buyers in the ///M world , some want a track beast , some want totally OEM
Bearing in mind a good number of owners would wince at the thought of their car being flogged around a track my personal opinion of the brake upgrade being eye candy as opposed to functionality is borne out of the fact very few owners pay to have their brakes upgraded from what i found to be excellent anyways :?

But when you drive other marques with proper pedal feel, and control weights you'll see they aren't all that with regards to the OEM. There's a reason the csl boys change them out :)

Many guys make changes to their cars based on internet reading & "cool" factor
Very few owners actually have a need to upgrade brakes for a certain purpose :? this is a car specific forum yet there is probably 5% of current members running non OEM brakes on their ///M cars & can't recall any of the remainder complain about brake feel or "control weights"

I understand, for me it's got to be good on both road and track but practicality isn't an issue as it is a weekend car. I hope my first track day in it is wet, I've missed having an LSD :)

I haven't tried the standard brakes so can't make a comment, all I can say is a liked your brakes, I find most cars have brakes that or too sensitive these days but the Porsche brakes have good firm pedal travel with easy modulation. The only problem is the ABS kicks in way too early, but it's subtle and not that intrusive so I can forgive it.

I cut the wire to the ABS in my VX220 because when it kicks in you barely have any brakes as it reduces the braking force too much. This is a very common mod in the world of VX220s. If you can call it a mod :D

And it's sold, to gaffer1986 on here who was a pleasure to deal with and a pain free transaction :)

I hope you enjoy it
