*SOLD* 2006 Black Sapphire 3.0Si Sport Roadster

Congrats Bing but also congrats to the new owner - they are going to have a thoroughly sorted and well maintained Zed that is a credit to the seller and a great indication of why it makes sense to buy from a well known and established Forum member - someone has made a good investment.

Moving on to an //M - I'll be keen to hear how you get on so please do make some posts outlining how your finding the change from 3.0si to M.

Enjoyed these posts (probably a lot more than you!) but not surprised it sold and reassuring to those of us that might end up with similar mileage Zeds to sell in the future.

Best wishes for a smooth transition.

:driving:

Thanks for all your support everyone - the free bumps, the links on other people's 'wanted' threads. Quite humbling  - you're all ace

about time!!! :fuelfire: :fuelfire: :fuelfire:

soooo... the question is... how do we get our cut of the money for all the bumps etc etc....

:P :P :P

glad it's sold for you though, and you can now go get that MMMMMMMMMMMM

Thought I'd better add a quick post to the thread - incredible to see it up to 15 pages!

I'm the happy buyer of Bing's Zed - after swinging one way and then the other over the manual vs auto, I finally decided the car looked just too nice not to go and have a look at it... and as predicted by others on this thread, it really is in amazing condition and has clearly been looked after extremely well! As for the automatic, I really enjoyed driving it and it definitely seems to suit the nature of the engine (which also sounds superb!) 8) All in all I can't wait to pick it up at the weekend. Our plan for the summer is to take it down to Italy via the Alps, so will be sure to post some pics from the trip on the forum...

In the immediate future I'll need to sort out some insurance for it, so might start another thread on that over in the general area - would be very interested in people's experience and advice of insuring cars that have been lightly modified like this one (springs and a few cosmetic changes) - particularly where starting with a new insurance policy like I will be here, rather than modifying the car yourself and then just informing your insurer...

Congratulations cps26 on the new motor  great that its staying on the forum...I bet you cant wait to collect it. :D

cps26, congrats and have fun. You can attend the Z meets now.

Only problem for me is that I will be losing mine though :o

Congrats cps26 - you're going to enjoy that auto on the European trip - then in sport mode it'll be a blast in the Alps.

:driving:

Welcome cps26.

You've bagged yourself a standout Zed there. Good to hear she'll get to see the Alps this year too on your Eurotrip!

Pleasure to meet you and your wife today Chris, really pleased it lived up to the hype... And it's very cool you're going to take it further afield than I ever did

Regarding insurance, some people list all the mods, some just the substantial / performance affecting ones - so I chose only ever had the springs and spacers (now off) listed with Direct Line, not the badges, Intravee or cruise control etc. You'll get good advice on here though.

@pvr - it's going to a good home though, and you're not exactly replacing it with a Skoda now, are you

Cheers Allan - great to meet you today. It's been a fun bank holiday monday! :D

(Have kicked off an insurance thread here: http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=64802...)

Personally I would take a Skoda over a Beetle though [emoji6][emoji1]

Massive congrats to Bing on realising his M dream and cps26 on getting a great car :D

Bing just remember your SI roots - don't go gettin all aloof now you have the four pipe garage queen

Some owners with a particular model designation feel it necessary to mention it in nearly every post/thread. Really boils my..... you know ;)

Bing - I'll be looking out, but know you'll be good for the banter
