SOLD: 2004 Z4 3.0i Titanium Silver, Red M-Sport seats, 107s, £3,000

I'm ever so sorry to hear of your loss buddy and what I've read is a very noble and selfless thing to do. I've registered here in the hope of finding a nice 3.0, I have just sold my 2.5 for what was meant to be a 3.0 but the seller took a better price and let me down, gutted now to have lost my Z4 and being miles down south keep missing then nationally due to working 6day weeks and having to arrange travelling. If your Z is at all available I would absolutely love a chance to re-home her.
Once again my condolences on recent times

I got my new car so the Z4 is ready to go to a new owner.

I've taken recent photos of the car, and have a few updates on it's condition. Please read the original advert details in the first post, and then supplement the below information.

Sadly Navid hasn't had chance to come see the car due to my replacement car woes, and now he's going to be busy for several weekends so can't get to see it.

The car is now free to view and is still available for sale.

To add a few to the downsides:

  • While cleaning the car I noticed that there was some damp under the passenger seat. After some reading about door membrane seals, I tested with a watering can and there is water coming from behind the door card.
Since the window regulator went at this side, I assume the membrane isn't doing it's job correctly.

  • Also now the weather is much warmer my door handles seem quite difficult. I find that they work fine if you push the door in as you pull the handle, or if I close the door a few times with the handle pulled they 'free up' for a bit.
They've done this for years in the hot weather, but have clearly become worse with less and less use.

  • Also as the rear alloys are quite corroded on the insides, they are letting pressure down a bit. I'm not sure if the wildly fluctating temperatures and very low usage are exacerbating the problem, but they go from 35psi to 25psi over a few weeks.

I'm more than happy to fix these issues for a buyer if they want the car, but I'm also aware that many potential buyers will now be keen DIYers or may have preferences on how wheels are reconditioned, might be swapping them, might just get them reseated with tyre sealer, or how they go about fixing the door membrane etc.
I don't want to spend lots of money when a buyer might prefer to buy it cheaper and spend £50 on effective but cheaper fixes.

Given the distances buyers might be coming, and the worry about spotting such issues, I'm highlighting them here and you can decide for yourself before you come to view.
I simply don't want people to come see the car and then leave disappointed or worrying over issues.

Here are loads of images of the car taken yesterday. If anyone wants super high quality ones in their email I'll send them over.

I also have these extras included.

  • 3 spare good coil packs (one went, but I bought 5 new ones which all went in, I kept a few of the known good old ones as spares)
  • Rear diff oil seals (bought but didn't need when I did the rear diff oil)
  • Spare H7 bulbs (I replace in pairs, but keep good old ones as spares)
  • A brake sensor wire (old one was ok)
  • Some cable ties (no idea haha)
  • Petrol cap (rubber went, but it's functionally fine)
  • Original aerial
  • Pipe connector and jubilee (pretty sure it's for the pipe to the throttle body, new pipe came with these, so these are spare but useful)
  • Rubber washer for coolant temp sensor (postage was about 5x the cost of the washers, so bought a few (I think there are two spare))
  • Spare bolt for holding brake disc on (I collect these haha, OE ones are still on afaik, much nicer quality)
  • Halfords chip kit (donated by a Z4 forum member to me years back)
  • A bunch of door card clips (bought for when I did my black > red interior door card swap)
  • A fancy matched colour paint chip set with picks etc (£35!) (I had a bash at doing some chips with this kit, but for my skill level the Halfords one was just as good haha)

That is one fantastic advert for your car. That's not even going into the reasoning behind the sale.
I wanted this but for the wrong reasons. (Seats out and replace with standard) but because of your reason for sale I decided against it. I hope whoever buys it cherishes it as much as you have.
Good luck with the sale pal.

Russell

For now I think I’m going to pause the sale and rectify the growing issues list.

I can then sell the car to a wider market and avoid selling it for less than it’s worth.

If anyone is interested in the car at close to the current asking price despite the faults then get in fast as I’ll be starting to organise having work done this week.

Thanks

Dave

Sold to a member on here.

Enjoy!

Car already sorely missed.

It looked and sounded amazing as it drove off!

The best car I’ve owned!

Andy, That's probably the best 3 grand I've ever spent.
Drove faultlessly on the way home and those M Sports seats are so comfortable compared to standard. I popped into work on the way home
and had a quick look on the ramp and all is well..
Just the jobs we both know need doing so pencilled into the diary for Wednesday next week to sort and a four wheel alignment on Thursday.
I drove nice and steady until she was warmed up then on that lovely road from yours I gave her some beans and she didn't let me down at all... :driving: What a hoot. Cheers Andy.

I will send you a PM later with some news.... :D

All the best

Russell
