SOLD: [18" 108's In need of refurb - £140 inc courier]

Hi there,

I bought a set of wheels complete with tires to replace mine. These wheels were on the car when I bought it (see my intro post in newbie section). They are in dire need of a refurb. The centres are in pretty good condition, it's the outer rims that look bad. To the best of my knowledge the wheels themselves are fine, no damage etc in terms of cracks / welds and so on but looks like some curbing and the lacquer coming off looks bad.

£140 which is INCLUSIVE of a courier via Paisley Freight.

I live in Cambridge CB22 & collection would also be welcome if local.

Price isn't too bad, with postage included.

As an example, I sold a set of 108's in better condition, fitted with Bridgestone runflats for £175 on here.

Ha, well, I love the 108's personally.... I saw some that were just refurbished with brand new tires so bought them as it's easier than leaving mine on axle stands for a week or whatever if I had got these refurbished. So the style is the same. Well, other than the centres are gloss black, and the rim is silver (My Z4 is black sapphire)

Fair enough. Make sure you get some photos up when they are on!!! It would be nice to see the contrast!!! Are they diamond cut or powder coated chrome/ silver? I am too a fan of 108s, although they can be a real pain to refurbish correctly!!!! Roll on Friday for your new wheels!!!

I came across them on GumTree. All about timing really - the seller had quite literally just posted them so I dived straight in!

Just wanted to update and say wheels are now ready for collection / courier. Upon removing the wheels, the rear tires are ok with fair amount of tread. The 2 front tires turns out are new, they still have the orange marker / lining to show it's new!!

I think that's about right - I contacted a company called first aid wheels on eBay who quoted me £408 in all black. They charge £480 for a swap service. Eg you get a freshly refurbished set and you send them your shitty wheels.

But yes £400 - £480/500 seems to be the going rate depending on colour and finish.
