Ok, might be good if someone else could try this...

With the car locked, try pressing the badge on the bootlid as if to open the boot... on mine, the red light on the parking brake switch comes on and the start/stop button lights up! :?

Just seems a bit worrying that the car can be "woken up" by doing this.

Does it on mine too, not sure if i am impressed or worried that you noticed.....it may mean that the inner geek in you is re-surfacing

Haha... I tried to open the boot forgetting that the car was locked, but noticed it made a small sort of whirring noise at the same time... I just happened to look inside and saw the lights on.

mine does it too - it's sort of cute in a way, like tickling the cat when he's asleep and getting a little purrrr.

Probably the car has to wake up to enable the sensors and logic needed to decide if the boot should open or not.
