Nope. the old spring was kinda bent up. So I put the new one in this morning. I will keep the old one, do some mods to it and wait until it breaks again.

Besides, my wife has better piece of mind knowing a NEW part was installed. I know, I know, illogical

I have learned this much in my life. Once a woman has made up her mind, or gotten something in her head, not even a SUPERNOVA could make it go away...

I just have to deal with it....

But you know, I don't mean it in a bad way. My wife seems to be write more times than I am. So I alway listen to her. I don't listen at my own peril.

But when it comes to mechanical/electrical stuff, she does not know what end of a screwdriver to use. Once when we were first married, I actually saw her use a 10 Penny nail to hang a picture up.

Wanted to say thanks for this post. My roof would not open, and the issue was the micro switch in the boot (trunk). I followed this post and fixed it.
