Soft Top Surprise

Had my G29 for around nine months and over that time haven't worked out to bring the softtop back to new. Whilst using some Autoglym vinyl and rubber care just to give a bit of a clean to the roof seals I accidentally spilled some on the softop. Wow what a result.......... As I wiped it off the softop came up as good as new and cleaned off all the bits of polish and muck that were on there.

Not sure if it is good for it long term.

To clean - All purpose cleaner diluted 1:10 like surfex HD

To revive colour - renovo reviver

To waterproof - fabsil gold

You then just vacuum the roof not wash until a year passes then you do the full three stage process again skipping the reviver if the colour isn't needed.

Some people just put liquid shoe polish into the fabsil gold and paint on and skip step two

We use a strong pet hair lint roller (stored in the boot) sometimes twice a week. Its been much quicker and easier than a vacuum for us.
Picks up all stray items, dust, whatever and never abuses the RaggTop conditioner we tend to us over here. If it top needs washing then of course by all means. But it sure works a treat for cleaning before putting away for the night or for putting top down for the day. I wholly dislike debris collecting in the top well at rear cowl. :)
