Soft top seal cleaning.?

Hi folks.
As anybody cleaned the rubber seals of there roof.

I partially dropped the roof the other day to check the seals at the back of the roof and they seemed "gritty".

What have you used .

I generally spray silicon on all rubber parts including roof rubbers, door seals and even suspension - it really helps and stops squeaks as well.

I use a detailing brush to clean out the seals every couple of weeks...
