Soft top locking motor shafts

shopping.jpegI am struggling to find the left and right shafts (part nos 54347043871 & 54347043872), as any I have seen have wanted two of my limbs, and a third for postage. Mine managed to unwind themselves, and I did try unsuccessfully to repair them out of solid, but fitting them is a nightmare. Anybody know where I can get two at a reasonable price? I have a call out to a BMW dealer and I dread to think of what the cost will come back at.
 
I have the same problem and have a cable guy who will make them for me. But my problem is finding out the exact measurement of each shaft. Are both the left and right the same length. I would be most appreciative if anyone can let me know.
