soft top covers

Hi all, the lug on one of my soft top covers has broken off, ok i forgot to remove when i put the roof up the other day, ( in a bit of a rush as it started to rain) did read somewhere they were designed to fall off in this event, no mention with instructions for use " must remove first", will be contacting BMW UK , main dealer was as much use as a chocolate fire guard, but hey nothing new there, would appreciate any thoughts before i contact BMW .........enjoy this fine weather :driving:
 
Hmmm not so sure that they will take any responsibility, after all you forgot to take them off :P

Worth a try I suppose.
 
Had a result from BMW customer care, a good will gesture of £45 , best bit is, i managed to find on REAL OEM site that you can buy the catch that broke,( thought customer care might know that ) anyway £5 for both bits ordered from Germany , so i still have a credit of £40 at my local parts dept , now i'm a very happy chappie :D :rofl:
 
They fit each side of the soft top when its down, can be seen on roadster solutions site
