soft-top behavior

Hi I'm a new member of the Z4-forum, I am impressed by the knowledge and speed of response.
I want help with the behaviour of my soft-top. Please see Movie and please note the sound.

No problen to fold up the roof, but to fold down, it stops and sounds like some latches does not release properly.
Suggested action to resolve the issue?
 
Ouch!
sounds like something is catching, drop the roof to the point just before it does this, then feel the plastic mouldings to see which one is under strain, you should be able to adjust it so it stops doing that. Nice hoodie by the way. :wink:
 
Has now been in the garage and tried the soft top manually.
I can not repeat the error in the film manually.
everything goes smoothly and nicely.
As a final test, I tried the soft top with the electric motor.
The problem is not there anymore.
Fantastic car repairs itself ? or.
Someone here in the community who have experienced the same thing.
 
You might want to try lubricating all the hinges etc in the roof mechanism itself, maybe intermittently sticking somewhere.
Also check the shelf in the boot is fully down properly and nothing is on top of it.
