Hey folks
I have a 2005 Z4 with the power soft top. A few years back I had the hydraulic rams rebuilt and at that time the pump motor was clean and dry and looked like new. Things worked fine for a few years. My problem now is when I press the button to lowern the roof, the windows go down, then the lock motor runs to unlock the latches, then I hear a relay clicking in the GM5 module but the pump does not run. This happened last year and fixed itself -
but now it seems to be here to stay. I am in the US in South Florida and the car sits in a warm/humid garage all summer. I am thinking/hoping its a relay issue in the GM5.
Any thoughts?
