Soft top adjustment

Hi all
Is there any room for adjustment on the Z4 roof? There is a small air gap above the passenger quarter light window with the roof in the closed position, It creates wind noise and looks like it just needs to be moved another couple of millimetres.

Any thoughts?

Thank you

Are you sure it’s not the window or the seal which needs adjustment?

Quarter light window?

Are you sure your in the right section, sounds more like an E89 issue.

I thought the description was a bit odd but a soft top’s mentioned? :?

Never seen this before, but couple of easy checks you could do comes in mind…

Wonder if the locks at the front edge of the top are engaging properly? When locking, they should pull the roof down a couple of millimeters and secure it. With the roof half open, do the left/right lock have the same position and resistance when moved manually? The are operated by a shafts twisted by a drive in the middle and the shafts can break. Second, are the base plates on the top of the windshield secure? Greasing them could also help the locks to close.

Thanks for that I’ll get out and check all of the above. It’s not a massive problem. More of a slight annoying wind noise on an otherwise perfect drive.
