i have seen loads of posts about this but looking for some help. I have the dreaded boot failure with the soft close. doesnt lock and keeps trying to.
Found great info on here with what the issue is and how to resolve it...solder the broken wire. However I dont know how to do it or want to attemp it as will land up making it worse or break it even further.
Is anyone in Edinburgh or close and has done the repair and willing to help for a fee and a trainee watching!?. I have disconnected the battery to save it getting drained.
Called a few indy garages but no one is intersted until they have 'Investigated' the issue.....im sure thats a pants down scenario.
any guidance appreciated.
