So what other social media sources do people use?

I'm on Facebook but keep my profile locked down for privacy. A few people added me from here.

Flickr (and a bunch of other photo sites and forums)

Google+

Twitter (fairly dormant)

LinkedIn (not actively updating it as it seems to have become more of a recruitment site than anything else)

Xbox live (chavenage)
 
Facebook and twitter mainly.

But fairly up to date on linkedin as i do believe my next job will come from there!

I dont use any forms - its a huge invasion of privacy and a massive waste of our prescious personal time. If i want to know what a real friend is upto - i will call, email or text them and i expect them to do the same.

i admit there are benifits to some social media - but the disadvantages massivly outweight the advantages for me!
 
I use...

This place (fairly regularly)

Facebook (couple of times a week, handy for keeping track of friends)

LinkedIn (bugger all until recently, now updated as I will shortly want to be recruited :wink: )

Xbox Live (dormant till I buy my own or claim Wee Bing's forever :evil: )

here - this is a pretty cool place
twitter - for shouting opinions during question time
facebook - for sharing photos and news with distant friends and rellies
Linkedin - its a rolodex of business contacts that you don't need to maintain - and maybe someone will ring with that dream job ...
 
Twitter and Flickr for me.

facebook + linkedin are checked once daily. Don't really use as such though.

and a fair few forums (smart, stance, audio and photography related)

err theres a blonde ive been trying to stalk for quite a while now early twenties....not sure of her first name.....
miss truman is ll i know her by...
her dad has got an alright car, dont think he knows about it tho... :lol:

FB - Yes but only in passing
Google+ - but dont ever use it
Twitter - Signed up but dont like it
Linkedin - Use it but hardly ever sign in
 
I use FB. I would rather chat on the phone. But the time difference from Germany to the pacific time zone -9hrs makes that difficult.
 
As a follower of minority sports ( cycling & ice hockey) I use twitter to keep updated. I use Facebook too, but I do worry about how much info we all give away online - maybe I'm just paranoid
