I still don't know where to meet you guys. OK, so I haven't decided as of yet. I know it won't be in Orange, so it may just be the middle of the intersection of the 210 and Angeles Crest Hwy according to the map on page 1. :P
I am also thinking of meeting you guys at the other side of the tunnel. Just so darn confused.
Hey, when we get together, we should tell you all about my off-roading adventure :tumbleweed: this past weekend in...Lancaster... :driving:

I don't know what you are talking about. I was vey detailed in my first post as to where to meet just north of that intersection, on the street next to the curb. I even pointed it out that our lunch spot was only 44 miles away for those that may be low on gas.

( Thank God of the edit feature )   Thank you for pointing that out CoolZ4

Drove out into the fields before the national park did you. You have a good spot picked out for the group pic? Or do we need to activate 4 wheel drive?

Not the fields, but lets just say that AAA wouldn't come out to rescue us. We were on our own. :x WE did get out of the desert before the rains came in, though..

You two are always walking off into the bushes! Get a room! he he he. Inside joke! Saturday should be great weather and day for the poppy run! Promise to be on time too!

Sounds like you have a story to tell. However, it maybe better with pics!

Tomorrow is the day.

Between lunch and the Poppy Fields we will do the Singing Road . See you there.

I definitely will not be making this. I just caught one major cold, so I'll be sick in bed dreaming of cruising with you fellas. Hope ya'll have fun!

Sorry to hear you are under the weather! Take care and thanks for not sharing your cold with us! There will be other fun runs this summer, I am sure about that knowing Bob and Robyn!

To be honest I'm not sure the cold is viral :P Don't worry I'll be there for some future fun runs! Next up will probably be bimmerfest! I'm going even if I have to have a friend drive me!

ok, so in spite of all my planning, I have to attend an event tomorrow at UCLA because my son was accepted :D to start there as a freshman in the fall. Some type of honors event I guess I just can't miss :(

My heart will be with you all going out to the poppies .... just don't breath too deeply!

We will miss you Chuck. So, Kathy and I will be at the 210-Angeles Crest road meeting place. If you don't see us by 9:30, we will catch up cause we know where the Panera bakery is :driving: There is a cache just outside of it that we got last weekend

You and the AAA tow truck that would not show?

Ladies, Gents.....thought I was going to get the chance to try out my new suspension on this drive & have a fun time with good company. Unfortunately, I must go to the office tomorrow and conduct job interviews. :( To all of you going...have a very safe & fun drive...

Mother nature has been weard this year. Three weeks ago the fields were in full bloom, however a hail storm in the area two weeks ago knocked the blooms off and the new blooms had yet to open on our arrival yesterday. The SoCalZ's were not detured and made the best of a flowerless day.

We met up at Starbucks to start the day.

Then an hour travel to the 1st meet point for our first dose of twisty's of the day.

Angeles Creast Hwy normally has CHP all over the Highway, but not on this day. We made our 44 mles with not even seeing one law enforcement officer. We waited before our next turn for all to group up again before heading to the next pic point.

On to our lunch point.

Since mother nature had a different idea of what we were to do, we went for another drive. :driving:

All in all a bit disapointing with the flowers and all. The SoCalZ's made the best of the day and went on a nice drive and focused on the people and the cars. :driving:

Thank you all for coming out and what I have learned, You can't mess with mother nature.

To bad the flowers were not in bloom. Vicke and I have been on those roads. Very pretty when flowers are in bloom. :driving:
