SoCalZ's annual Big Bear Drive

Times to be determined as well as where.

Meet and drive the Big Bear area starting in Redlands. Have lunch in Big Bear. Have some more driving time ending at the 15 and 38 at Silverwood Lake exit. Those staying the night, return to Arrowhead and have dinner and drinks and then breakfast at the Waffle House.

Well s**t, I just said I'd go, but as I mention the date to my girl that is jimmy buffet weekend, and I did say I would work the weekend of the 18th and the weekend after. The money I get is technically on the downlow, but for one it is extra money, and besides, I said I'd work those two weekends, I'd rather not break my word (damn Southron honor kicking in). So I guess I won't be attending this transcending event :cry: :cry:
 
Count me in! ROADCAR should be back to new by then. Looking forward to meeting up with great folks for a great fun run!

Oooooh I think I can make this one!

My new wheels and tires should show up this week, so I'll finally have something to show off!
 
I will say though, if I sell the truck by then I probably will tell margarita ville to forget about me that weekend.
 
Mary and I are coming, but I was trying to make reservation at the Lodge and on the 18th they require a minimum of 2 nights.

PS: are (clean) Z3s invited also???
 
I will be making a pre run on Tuesday and will be stopping at the resort and obtaining addresses and the like. I'm sure that they will allow one night stay. They allowed it last year. Once complete with all the info, I will be posting to other forums and the e-mail list. :thumbsup:

Ok, this is resolved. Starting tuesday morning, 9/16, if you call them and ask for Karen in Room Reservations, they will take a booking for just for 1 night, which is 10/18 in this case. They have a limited amount of rooms. You must mention that this is for the Car Club "Z4" (shouldn't be hard to remember, huh?) They would not budge on any discounts, but feel free to try yourself with triple AAA or what ever.
 
As a newbie to all of this I would like to know who I need to write to to join in on this event, this would be my first run with other Z4 owners! Any info please! Thanks!

Actually you have already done what needs to be done to keep informed on events in SoCal. I have you on the e-mail list and as soon as I get all the information for the event I will be sending my bulk BBC e-mail to all who have requested to be on my list as you have done. It takes a few days to get my Ducks in a row before I send the e-mail. I do not send the e-mail but once. So the need to have all information at that time is very important. Most all information will be found out today and posted by tomorrow. The e-mail will most likely be sent tomorrow depending on the resort information be recieved.

When events are posted, all that needs to be done is to post to this thread and say you would like to attend. Meet points and caravans will be set up prior to the date of the event depending on where people are coming from.

Looking forward to seeing you. We now have 129k on our car and still running like a champ. We really hope things work out and you are able to come. :thumbsup:

Thanks Chuck. I just called and made reservation.
Just FIY, the price I was quoted is $219 and we have a total of 6 rooms available.
 
Just Booked! If you are AAA member mention this as there is a 10% discount!
Can't wait, it will be an incredible run through the country especially a that time of the year!

Camera will be charged and ready to go!
