I emailed him recently. He said that as of this time, he has not heard of any problems with the n52 VANOS and they have not torn one down to inspect. He also requested that if anyone is having any of the usual symtoms associated with VANOS failure on the n52 to please contact him.ZetaTre said:

I feel the need to contribute my success story of my "vanosization" by Luca. Last Sunday, went over to Luca's for the 15,000 mile oil change and inspection, lubing of my starter shaft (which seemed to hang engaged for a second in particular cold mornings) and to have the vanos kit installed.
The starter seems to engage/disengage so much smoother and wow what a difference I feel in regards to low RPM pick up and in particular how much smoother the gear shift transition on my automatic. I will testify to all those others who say that it seemed after this kit install that new life was restored to their Z. I feel a DEFINITE difference in mine.
Kudos to Luca, his skill, and particular attention to cleaniness and orderliness while working on the car that was very impressive!

I wnat to add my appreciation and kudos to Luca for an INCREDIBLE JOB WELL DONE! My ROADCAR is good to go for another 100,000 miles of SMILES! I am loving the increased power and eagerness to want to let loose and GO! Luca has an incredible eye detail and passion for excellence! Going back this weekend for more fixes for my car. Guess you have figured out I did not by the Z4M, but you will never know how close I came! Nice to be car payment free!
