So would you have stopped?

Yes the 120 yards sign went up after my original complaint.
But road markings now are just cheap paint being rubbed out or in the heat melted tar covering.
What happened to the old white paint with reflective glass in.
Two schools of thought…from the drivers viewpoint coming down that land there are more than adequate visual clues to alert a driver to the presence of a junction at a speed that given the bend preceding it they should have adequate time to stop…

Any failure to give way would be careless driving / driving without due care and attention at best..reckless driving in the middle ground..

From your viewpoint to answer the question the flip side is also obvious…

Local knowledge trumps the road furniture…so if you know it’s an accident black spot then you should slow down so you can stop before the potential conflict…

Local tyre van overturned at this junction a few weeks ago, so many different car parts strewn in the hedge now it's ridiculous, it's a fast road coming down to the crossroads with not a lot of visibility but still it's down to poor drivers not paying attention unfortunately.

This evening, poor Zed
Z crunch.jpg
I stopped and spoke to coppers and another driver behind me.
I asked who reports to council, just said not us......
Just walked off, other copper pointing finger "Be on ya way".
The road on the left should be closed, it's only a cut through.

Invite your local press to write a story on the number of collisions at that junction, the disinterested police in attendance and the ineffective council measures. I'm sure they would find that more exciting than writing about the local school fete and the vicar's tea party!

I go past this junction everyday.
Getting quite scary now i slow right down before passing.
At night i watch car headlights on the side road and note the speed knowing a few that haven't stopped and gone straight across without stopping.

I'm guessing by the smack on the rear of, it looks like a black BMW, it crossed the Give way junction and corner of Zed hits it's rear quarter.
So black cars fault.

What is need is the side road bend in the road needs straightening to make it a staggered junction.
Simple to make it a one way road, so enter only.
Cars then would go few yards further on then turn left adding 1 minute to a journey.

Same thing happened somewhere else where cars crossed on a open road, on a moor, clear view both ways.
Took years for council to stagger the junction to eliminate fatal's.

Fake camera, solid white line at junction. Big clear stop sign.
