so *ucked off

£930!!!

No way......

How on earth do they come to that amount ?

There is no way the guy will pay a grand, could be insurance time..

We had an E46 M3 bumper repaired and painted a couple of weeks ago from one of the best bodyshops in our area Taz... £350..

Even on my first X5 which Mrs PVR did not believe the parking sensors (twice :o ), it was £250 each time for the repair and full respray.

just spoke with repair guys, the price is for a new bumper because its split right next to the headlight washer jet

can sympathise with this, after nearly 20 accident free years I've had 2 bumps in the last 2 months.

first one the guy crumpled half the side of my car turning into me and, having owned up at the scene, proceeded to invent some cock and bull afterwards. second was minor, but annoying, impatient chap in a car park on Christmas eve tried to pull out of a queue and scuffed my bumper.

all fixed now but the time it takes your car to get fixed is strange, you feel a bit sub standard..

hope you get sorted, unless you have good reason I'd get onto your insurance company, and if there were any witnesses, get their names logged.

without a witness my first one would've been costly as there were 4 panels damaged.

I'm surprised that can't be plastic welded.

it possibly could be, but I would not be happy with it, if I had done the damage then maybe I would settle for a plastic weld

Same here. Looks like an insurance job now, there's no way he'll shell out a grand.

Just read this and someone marked my bumper the other day.... Hopefully it will all machine polish out although one bit may have gone through meaning a respray might be required :/

I'd send him one more note saying you want a response within 24 hours otherwise you are informing your insurance and starting a claim against him and his insurers, reminding him there is a witness.

Thats strange how its split there.. must have cause some serious flex to the bumper to cause that; I had my standard bumper in all sorts of weird twisted angles to get it into my loft hatch... they are pretty bendy!

Good opportunity to go M front though

imo at that price i would be suprised he if didnt want to settle it through his insurance.
