so *ucked off

Oh poor Taz x

hope you get it sorted soon

and Sp3ctre, you bad bad man :D

Bad news, but at least there's some honest people out there - hopefully. I got caught by false details a few years ago. Worth checking the details….

Crap start to the weekend Taz. Sounds like you already have it in hand though. Sooner sorted sooner forgot. Good to know there are still some decent people out there.

The number is real as Taz spoke to him so that is good.

Horrible situation with the car though, that can really ruin your weekend. Only upside is a fresh bumper / paint.

Horrible feeling, but Yep +1 on the above

i now have his email address too, he sounds honest but the proof will be when i give him the bill. These little bumps can add up to quite an amount.

I'm guessing it needs bumper off and refitting, several broken clips, possible damaged inner wheel arch, bit of paint work - not cheap at all

Somebody scraped the bumper on my previous zed, on (I think) the day before I was trading it in for my new (current) zed. They didn't leave any contact details. I'm not sure where or when it happened exactly. I only noticed it on the day of the trade.

I turned up the next day to do the trade and owned up to what had happened. The dealer was so keen get the deal done that he just said forget about it, we'll sort it! Don't know how much it cost them but I was mightily relieved.

Sorry to hear that Taz. At least the guy was a decent chap....hopefully the same in person.

£930 sounds a bit steep for a bumper. Is that a new bumper paint and fit?

thats unfortunate.. but least the guy was decent.. my poor Z has been hit on 3 separate occasions when parked.. and never had a note or anything :(

A repair and repaint at £900+ is ridiculous though... i have had my front and rear bumpers resprayed for £250 each in the past.

Hope he does cough up but I would be surprised if he does - this seems an inordinate amount to quote for a bumper repair - he may well suggest he also gets a quote for comparison purposes which in itself is not unreasonable - at least he was honest - he may have been seen at the time but he may have just got away with it by putting a false number .

Whatever happens he was in the wrong - I hope it can be sorted out amicably without involving insurance companies .

Good luck
