So there I was thinking 'not something else'...

Reversing into the drive recently, looking back over my shoulder I note that one of the two lights on the rear storage shelf was off. So my eyes roll as I think I've got something to fix and I stop the car.. both lights come on.. I stop for a second to realise that of the two lights each side of the rear shelf, one is amber and comes on with the main lights (just as the door pockets, interior door handles and other ambient lighting does) the other is bright white and only comes on when the doors are opened/car unlocked ala the footwell/exterior door handle lights do.

Three years on and I'm still finding things about this car..

Oh and now I've just realised after looking into 'ambient lighting' on the F10/5 series that mine has it too but never noticed! What I thought was simply a light in the door storage is actually a fibre optic strip.. nice, I need to find a way to maximise on this lighting as against black plastic you hardly see it... Hmm, I feel a project coming on.
