Hi all-as above -i asked for the parts dept a woman answered -"Im pricing up a front set of brake pads for a z4" i replied -she asked for my reg number,which i gave her-10 minute wait(i could tell because our work phone times the call)
"Right " she says "Was it front or rears you were asking for?"
"Fronts" i replied
"Okay i will just put you on hold a minute"
Five minutes pass
"Right they are £47 plus vat for both pads" she told me
"Right so that must be double for both sides then" i replied
"What do you mean?" she replied
"Well there are two pads per side and you have quoted me for two pads" i told her
"No there is only one pad per side" she told me
"You what!" i said to her
"Well i dont know really because im not technically minded!" she says
"Well can i speak to someone who is then please" i replied
"You dont need to because i have been told that is all you require"
"Okay thank you" says i and ended the call :cry:
 
She must have been pricing up one wheel... Either that or you got through to the motorcycle parts department by mistake - she obviously wouldn't realise she was sitting in the wrong seat...
 
It was the fact that someone "in the know" had told her all i needed was one pad per side that worried me :roll:
 
At that price it must have been for 2 boxes.... one box per side.

If its a consolation she probably was cute to look at, shame you called :evil:
 
Don't use BMW in Hull for anything Andy, they're useless. I once asked them if they could code my key to make the roof open/close from the key fob. They said it "wasn't possible", whereas Autologic did it for about £30/40 :thumbsup:

Autologic in Hessle are all ex-BMW and will do a much better, more knowledgeable and cheaper job, using OEM parts if you so fancy.

Know what you mean mate,they told me i cant have the 3 signal indicator thingy,but afaik its been done on here. :roll:
 
I have been to BMW-main dealers in Germany. And they are amazing. The service and sublime showrooms, and knowlege is top class!
