Hi all-just curious to see if anyone's going to lavish parties? :) -For us we are left alone, our son and daughter are going out to seperate parties,if we had known sooner we could have booked somewhere in Scotland and celebrated in style!-Happy New Year to one and all!-i was going to post this seperately but edited my post! :)
 
Nothing too lavish for me - going over to my parents for a meal tonight then will see the bells in with them.

Given the strange year I've had, I've decided to follow an old tradition someone was talking about at work recently, and open all the windows in my flat to let the old year out and the fresh air of the new one in! :D

Wishing everyone a happy, healthy and prosperous 2012.

Restaurant / party in Lichfield city with a couple of long standing friends. Youngest daughter joining us (uni student so free dinner :))

Family round to us, young kids limit what we can do, but also I'm not that fussed about it really.

Also it's Mrs Hutch Birthday.
 
Round to some Good Mates Tonight for a Meal and some Bollie Darling ! :thumbsup:

Seems a world a way from seeing the millenium on the banks of the thames or numereous scottish mountain huts but thats age for you!
 
Pj party at O/H s sisters place. They have young family too, so no point getting dressed up to end up covered in baby food and dribble. Happy New year one and all. Ps Andy, think you are king of new threads this last couple weeks! :P
 
Staying with the baby.... His first new year!!!! Priceless!!!!

May involve, pizza, beer and a cigar.

I hate NY to be honest! Always really overrated! Best thing you can do is spend it with the people that mean the most to you! So that is what I'm going to do, probably involving lots and lots of beer :thumbsup:
 
me too, what a waste of a night and next day, counting down from 10 then singing "old long song" whilst locking arms, then trying to send a text whilst all the networks are down and feeling like sh*t the next day.

but other than that it's great :thumbsup:
 
Popped round to a neighbor's earlier in the evening for a chat and watched a couple of acquaintances get really drunk and start making absolutely no sense, then came home where me and the wife will quietly see the new year in. Well, except that there'll be a fireworks display starting just down the road in about 10 minutes, so we'll probably watch that from the second floor window and then go to bed.

Some people would call that boring, I call it ideal. :D

Tomorrow, despite being the first day of 2012, is just another day!
 
It's amateur night so I will be staying home with some close friends stopping by later in the evening.... :cheers:
 
Family get together, 16 or so at my sisters with a sleep over, lots of food, fair amount of wine and great company and then a lavish cooked breakfast tomorrow......perfect :)
 
Our usual treble family get together of 18 but this year in Briancon in Southern France - plus skiing tomorrow.

Oh No Local shops out of Bollinger this year going to have to go for M&C Instead... :oops:

local M&S is stripped bare of "party food" ..... what's wrong with just a sausage roll!
 
night out in newcastle, paying for overpriced drinks and being packed like a sardine's in a club. :|
 
Can't stand it. Went to some friends for a couple of drinks and snackipoos but that was really a late Xmas thing....we laughed our heads off because as we got back in the car we noticed it was 11.55 :rofl:
