Just intrested really...

After doing many road trips accross Europe etc. in my old 3l, I was always impressed by how much I could get the boot to swallow without having to lift the roof shelf - I.e. I could cram it full of stuff with the roof down!!! Yes, some stuff was stored behind the back seats which is crazily useful!

I have not had the opertunity to really test the capacity of the boot, except for one miss guided trip to Costco that seemed like a good idea at the time...

So how much can you fit an MR boot?? lets see your pics!!!

No pics here, but my gf came over from Germany at the end of feb with her "trunk".

Had a scary moment when we thought we'd be stuck at the airport - until I lifted the extended the storage, dispatched some elbow grease and kicked the f***er until it slotted in place (reluctantly).

Now I know how women feel packing to go on holiday, it's amazing what you can fit in a small space with a bit of extra oomf ;)

...stop snickering at the back...

I don't have an ///M, but I got a 6" banana in mine, and still managed to get the roof down :

But is there enough room for the spade and a tarpaulin as well?

I have managed to get 4 100L bags of compost in mine... Saved carrying the spade and tarp!

Took a month. But it's all in. by NeilllP, on Flickr

my efforts, and very impressive to say the least!

In the end as I needed to carry a set, had one of 225/35/17 with wheel in the front, one in the back and two 175/XX/16 with wheels in the boot.

Incredibly practical!

Where is this 'back' that you speak of that is different to the boot :poke:

It's slightly more difficult in an ///M though as you've got that blasted battery there!

No pictures here but I did provide a short list . . .
