Snowfoaming

I use only 1 bucket with grid guard, i say two bucket method is bit overkill. You can use if you like. But is not really necessary.
I am detailer and polish my own cars regurarly. Even here Finland at winter when we have really bad condition roads, lot of snow, salt, sand etc everywhere i dont make many swirl marks for my cars lacquer. Key to this is proper prewashing with good snowfoam + lance. In my opinion bilt-hamber is best product and works. I apply foam and let it do it job 5-10 minutes, then throug powerwash. After that shampoo & clean wash mitt..
And remember, snowfoam is even powerful if your cars wax layer is like new. Also the washing process is lot easier compared to rough surface without wax. And proper waxing is another story..

The pressure washer you use can make a huge difference also. I binned my Karcher after it was unable to produce decent foam. Now run a Nilfsik E130.

Will be trying my touchless wash again tomorrow. Will post up the results.

Nilfsik E130 - do you rate them Steve? I need to buy a pressure washer soon...
Does it come with an attachment to do the snow foaming - or do you still need to buy this separately (like the one in this thread) ?

I have the small Nilfisk but its more than capable for car cleaning. Get the brass snow foam lance from CYC ( not cheap but well worth it ) makes very thick foam and covers the car completely in thick suds.

Two Bucket Method :-)

One wash, one rinse.
And a grit guard in the bottom of the rinse bucket so you can rub the washmitt over it each time you rinse and remove any small bits of grit/debris that it may have picked up. Lots of people, including me, have a grit guard in both buckets just to ensure that the washmitt never touches the bottom of the bucket
+1
