SNOW

Just started snowing here.
Had to laugh though as the council were out spreading grit earlier, I say spreading grit, it was almost like a bloody beach with the amount they lay down these days.
It rained for about an hour then turned to snow, so most off the muck would have been washed away

Us southern hard nuts are always ready for snow, I ever own a pair of wellies (Hunters) don't you know. Our very own Yorkshire man, bladeowner, moved south to experience real snow. :poke:

Not a single flake in sight here. :D
We’re in the English riviera, it won’t snow 😳
I was right in the English Riviera on Sunday, right up to my waist, in the middle of a freezing cold Dartmoor. Note to self look where you are putting your feet.

Southerners supermarket......

Unlikely. It’d be Waitrose or some kind of organic/vegan boutique that sells soya bean enemas.

That and the bloody soft shites wearing scarves and gloves and all that old bollocks...

It’s not our fault that us southerners have more common sense John, besides you lot have so much more hot air to keep you warm :poke:

It started in Liverpool at about 11pm last night, and I woke to a lovely layer of the white stuff.

About 150 miles of a 900 mile drive I made over the New Year in Europe were on roads like that.... & we were all quite happily doing 40-50mph on winter’s without any calamity... some considerably more.

You’d be lucky to get above 4-5mph with the traffic jams in Kent..

I remember struggling to school one snowy/icy morning in the 80s, using 3 buses to go the 8 miles.

Got to school on time and was told it was shut due to the trouble teachers were having getting in.

Waited an hour for the bus for the first leg of my return journey, and a driver of a bus going the other way told me that there no more buses on that route as they were now cancelled, so my return commute was half bus & half foot...and I got back home at lunchtime

When my mother got home at 4pm, I saw her car had some damage on it and thought someone had hit her in the snow, but it turned out that she’d simply skidded on the downhill section of road going through the exit gateway at work and slid into a fence post.
