Yeah exactly what I did. First stage says dtc on the dash. Second gives you a warning sign with an arrow in a circle.

Was really suprised. Might be the quite new goodyears. Seamed to go sideways for a little bit then just bite and push forward.

As you mentioned earlier it's the open diff that's pants and you need a LSD to get the best from RWD and have the most fun :driving:

Sliding around and doing donuts is a doddle with a LSD and great fun too :thumbsup:

Open diffs should be scrapped on performance BMW's and I wish they still offered a LSD as standard on their quicker cars like they used to and not just offer a LSD on their M cars, even my old 200sx had a LSD on it as standard. 8)

Yep a few tuners offer them, I think they are around £1200 fitted at birds automotive, think you can get an M Factory diff for less too. MM has one of these fitted :)
 
Update. All the snow started to melt last night then froze. This morning there was an inch thick sheet of ice over the whole base. Was great driving up to work. Still annoying the inner wheel spinning up so much but it was more fun. Obvs just to much traction in the snow.

Mr W, I agree this is a great route through outstanding country side - lots of twisting ups and downs and care required even in the best of weathers especially at night. I need to plan another route following tonights snowfall/ice which looks like it may be here to stay for a few days. Any advice on safe routes from Rossendale to Harrogate muchos appreciated! PM only so that no-one else cottons on! :lol:
