Hi guys,
Just acquired a nilfisk pressure washer for doing the usual jobs around the garden/drive/patio etc, and also to clean the Z with the snow foam attachment..
Then SHMBO, says, could i clean the decking with the snow foam, so we could just more or less just rinse it off, rather than all that power washing... Thoughts please,... be gentle with your replies.. :)

It will be much easier to blast and power wash the decking and then using a good stainer or decking oil. Most snow foams being alkaline based, you'll find you will be more likely to do damage to the woods instead!

that never occurred to me last weekend when I did our drive, patio and paths :o

be interested to see if it does work though?!

If you fill it with proper decking cleaner then it would probably work, but I don't think snowfoam will do much.

It won't work, I'd put money on it.
Does work  I've been using snow foam on my mono block & decking that's at the side of the house in the shade. Cleans it up nicely :D

No use snow foam let it dwell & then use patio cleaner attachment on pressure washer. Cleans up mono lock & decking perfectly. Must soften up the moss & staining.

 Sorry :headbang: just out bed after nightshift :( never read the op thread properly. Anyway wee tip use snow foam on your decking & mono lock comes up great lol

If you have a decent power washer I shouldn't think you need any cleaner would you?

Looking forward to receiving a Nilfisk tomorrow to replace a rubbish Karcher :)

Tim.

Neighbours probably think I'm nuts snow foaming the car, God knows what they would think if they caught me using it on the patio.

I'll stick to the pressure washer as you still need to use anyway.

My neighbours think I'am mad anyway ! Washing my cars 2/3 times a week :D

Personally if it's algae or Moss then I'd use a weak bleach solutions. Used to use hydrogen peroxide suff I got from the lab alchemists. Just brush it on wait a bit amd wash off.
