I have just purchased some snow foam and was wondering if it would cause me a problem should i inevitably get some of it on the "rag top"?

No, it should be fine.... that said I haven't found snow foam to be massively effective... looks cool though

I know what you mean it doens't seem to do much but Its more of a pre clean to stop you rubbing grit all over the body work really.

You've got to get it really shaving foam consistency to get any real cleaning action going on.

I found snow foam used on the parents red metallic megane worked really well, didnt bother washing after, but on the black z and black focus, it dosnt seem to clean that well

Snow Foam doesn't replace the need to wash the car. As mentioned the whole idea of it is to remove as many loose particles as possible so you're not dragging them over your paint work in the subsequent wash.

As with most things its all about minimising the chances of inflicting swirls/damaging your paintwork. The Snow Foam should just be treated as an additional step in the process not a be all and end all.

It does look cool though

try magifoam. It's expensive but cleans exceptionally well. very rare I have to use anything else

Far better than any other snow foam I have used.
