Does anyone know how to disconnect the snap in adaptor? I have seen some thread here or maybe on Bimmerpost but they talk about drilling the adaptor apart and cutting wires, but I don't want to hack it.
I managed to pull the snap in adaptor up and you can see there are two black wires underneath that seem to go under the aluminium centre console trim. When I pulled that up I can see the 2 cables are bunched together with some other cables inside some black fabric / insulation and this then seem to turn back as if to go back under the arm rest at which points some of the cables within the insulation split to go to the front of the car and the others under the armrest area, but after this I can't see where exactly the wires for the snap in adaptor go or where they connect.
Does anyone know? It seems like its going to be too much bother for what it's worth but I thought I'd ask anyway.
