I know there has been a lot of postings on here about MPG, but i though i would add one for my new MPG record.

I drove from Cheshire to Bristol and back last week, 2 up in the Coupe, non M version, and got a lovely 39.2mpg return on the clocks. I then did my own calculation and it worked out at 39.3mpg, so either way, well happy with that.

This was driving at about 70mph all the way, and about 30 minutes of stop/start driving around Bristol.

This is one of the most economic cars i've owned :D
 
I did a 3500 mile drive from Glasgow to Monte Carlo, via the Autobahns and four laps of the 'Ring. The entire journey in my MC averaged 25.2 mpg which I though was amazing. It's easily the most economical fast car i've ever owned. My last car (993 turbo) did about 17 mpg average ! In fact my wife had a 2007 Golf GTI Edition 30 and it only did 26mpg.

Love em, there's nothing better without breaking the bank.
 
I've managed 42mpg on my daily commute, 38miles between Darlo and Newcastle. It was an odd day though where the traffic kept me at 60 mph +-10mph but never actually got busy enough to start a jam. It felt like I coasted the last 10 miles into Newcastle which is mostly downhill. I usually get about 34mpg, I've been getting 32 mpg lately due to crappy traffic. :thumbsdown:

Lowest is 16.8mpg at Croft, much more fun :driving:
