SMG pump unit

I have a 2003 E85, the SMG pump will not prime. I have changed the relay, checked fuses and wiring from what I can find anyway. I am down to the SMG pump itself but I am not sure where the pump is. Sound strange but I just have not had trouble with this car so I have not had to attempt to fix much on it.
Where is the pump located? Anybody have any suggestion on a good repair manual for these?
 
the pump is located on the side of the transmission

Thanks for the diagram. Through process of elimination I did figure out it is the pump. Got the old pump out, getting one on order. Thinking ahead of install, any tips on how to bleed the hyd sys once I get the pump in and starting to prime it.
