SMG Problems

Help. Just bought my first Z4 a 2004 3.0i with SMG (87,000 miles on the clock). Everything fine for three weeks then I had a single incidence of SMG failure wouldn't change gear then stuck in first. Switched everything off and switched it all on again and it all worked fine for a couple of days. Car is now stuck in my garage not going anywhere won't engage neutral so won't start. The pump priming noise when I open the door has disappeared.

I believe the way to go is to change the SMG pump relay before trying anything else? Question is on an E85 which relay is is it? Lots of internet information on a Salmon Pink relay (part number 12631742690) on M3s but I don't think the Z4 has one like this. Some information on this forum on an Orange relay (part number 61368366646) but I'm not sure whether this is the one I need to change (looks more like something to do with the ABS). Looking at the parts book and repair manual and I think it's the Ultra Navy Blue Relay (part number 61368364582) located in the corner of the control unit plastic box under the bonnet.

Any one figured this out? Any help gratefully received.

I would trust reference material over internet posts. I agree that it's the relay in the far back corner of the electrics box, based on info in WDS. Couldn't say if this is something to try 1st or not, but seeing as the pump is not running, it's at least worth checking if it functions properly. If OK, if you can also determine if the power is arriving at the proper terminals at the appropriate time, it will indicate if the problem is up-stream or down-stream of the relay.
 
Thanks. Although it didn't seem like as was short on volts (everything else electric seemed to work) I put the battery on charge overnight and hey presto all was well again. So now I'm scratching my head a bit. Ordered a new relay today as they are not very expensive. But probably need to run the battery down a bit to see if that helps. One thing is for sure I'm going to need AA membership!
