mine is a 04 reg with 53k on it.. only had it a few weeks
looking through the paperwork and history of it, no more than 4k miles ago it had all sorts of bits replaced on the SMG:
- relay for the pump
- selector sensor
- pressure sensors x2 (for which they took the gear box out to be able to fit them!!)
- the ECU
- and the slave cylinder.... i reckon they were replacing everything without having a clue what they were doing
now its had the motor i think it all sorted
so, i'm now hoping it'll give me as much trouble free motoring as you've had
