SmartTop Fitting Tips

You get the instructions to fit it with the module. The link is to the same instructions online. It's really quite straightforward provided you don't keep your keys in your pocket and trap yourself while fitting it like I did.

Strangely i took mine out on Sunday as the car is going in for warranty work
Would it not have been sufficient just to disable it via the key fob and indicator stalk?
That's all I did when mine went in for its rear light clusters.
I too had problems with the connectors and having got it working to didn't want to re-open the proverbial can of worms

No. i did not want them to find the module and then consider billing me for all of the arse ache i was causing them.

Simon20VT, hi Simon ,did you solve your Smart top problem?
I had the same problem: mirrors worked, roof didn't
I've sent mine back to the US to see if it's faulty
I had a solid green light not blinking but must have tried reseating connectors about 12 times!

No I didn't. Did the guys in America have a look at yours over the internet? I did have a flashing light, but still didn't work.

Yes they looked at mine over the net - had a flashing light. (but solid light when plugged in car)
