SmartTop finally ordered... Now Installed.. Dangerously!

Who makes wheels for BMW these days? Is it still BBS i wonder ?

An established and experienced manufacturer shouldn't be dropping clangers like this.

I really need to put the roof down to get into mine (narrow garage at the area of door opening/a neck op / getting old and less nimble) Ok can drop the roof on the fob but can't put it back up again!

Was the installation pain free ?

I managed ok, if you're only in Durham I could come and supervise, just down the road in Sedgefield.

yes really easy took about 1hr as i was doing it for the first time (obviously!) think that now i have done it i could do it very quickly. Only tricky bit is making sure you completely reset that bloody clip! :D

I looked at them on eBay, says 3 available, who's going to buy 3 ha ha
 
Mmm or a variation...not 100%... they seem a bit more staggered that usual CSL replicas... similar style tho. Not my preference as I say, I think they look a bit too after market for me...

Could be right, they look similar... Getting wheels right is tricky as if you make a bad choice its costly...

They look similar to CSLs face on but from the side are much more chunky...

No problem, it will be good to meet up with another Z owner, I'm hoping to go on a couple of the meets in the summer to meet some of the other forum members too.
 
you wont regret getting a smart top one of the best options I like is auto folding the door mirrors it's a quick way to see that I haven't unlocked it putting the fob in my pocket :roll:
