Smartbear now car-less!

Smartbear

Lifer
 a barn in Somerset
Met juniorjet (tom) this afternoon for the sale of my si, he's a thoroughly nice chap & i enjoyed chatting cars with him while we went through the paperwork etc etc.
As he went through the gears leaving smartbear towers, swerving through the herds of gazelle and wildebeest I thought, I'm really going to miss that car! Had some great drives in it & really enjoyed the ownership experience.
I'm hoping the next zed will be as enjoyable :driving:

It's always sad seeing the new owner driving off in yor P&J
But soon forgotten once the new baby is on the drive, enjoy when you get it :driving:

Sad, but JJ will look after it. Has he chopped in his porker then ?

Really? He had it up for sale last year... http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=80519&p=1185818

Glad to see your buyer appreciates what a good deal he has got, sad to see it go but new things around the corner

Good that it's gone intentionally to a good home and not stolen or crashed into!
Was gutted when my old e36 coupe got tw@tted. Had a good few more years in him still.
But then i may never have bought a zed to replace it!

Looking forward to meeting your Zed as Tom and his other half are very good friends of ours. It will be in very good hands with them. Hope you enjoy the new one :driving:

Hey! Thanks Rob, was lovely to meet you too and a pleasure doing business :D

Yes I am now back in a zed - or rather the Mrs is primarily although we all know who will be stealing the keys from time to time

Really missed having a zed and having access to a fun convertible, even driving back around the M25 I felt so back at home behind the wheel... and couldn't even resist putting the roof down like an idiot once I got off the motorway! So glad I held out for a 3.0si though, no it's not the ///M, but I really can feel the similarities as the torque kicks in.

Still have the porker, although always tempted to buy something else, then I realise how sad I would be seeing it drive away... then I immediately change my mind again... this can happen multiple times in a week...

Oh no what have you done.... :o

Don't panic Mr SmartBear, once the shiny new Zed is parked up safe and sound at SmartBear Towers, all will be good with the world and the wilder-beast will return to their watering hole once more.

It's sad to see your pride and joy drive away - that's the moment you realise it isn't your pride and joy anymore, it's someone else's!

Still it does ease the pain when you sell to another forum member who you know will cherish it! I sold mine that way, but still see it in the photo competition from time to time - it's clearly getting cleaned better now! (And as a bonus it was the most pain-free sale I have ever experienced)!

But as has been said, that sad moment tends to be forgotten as soon as the next toy arrives!
